He was a CPA in public practice for 18 years, including as audit manager for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and head of his own firm, prior to PhD studies at Columbia University.
Dr. Leibowitz's primary teaching and research interests are in the areas of auditing, financial accounting, accounting education, and capital markets.
Dr. Leibowitz has published in the Journal of Financial Statement Analysis, Issues in Accounting Education, and the Journal of Accountancy.
